VISO 28 – Staatspreis Design / Austrian National Design Prize 2026, Nomination
We are delighted that our motion and daylight sensor VISO 28 has been nominated for the Austrian National Design Prize 2026. With this nomination, VISO 28 ranks among the outstanding submissions of the year in the category Capital Goods . High-quality design, technological precision, and ecological responsibility were key criteria in the jury’s selection.
Jury Statement:
“The jury recognizes VISO 28 as a design response to the visual overload of modern ceiling plans. Through consistent miniaturization, the design reduces the ‘visual impact’ of technical components to an absolute minimum without compromising functional complexity. Particularly noteworthy is the symbiosis of architectural clarity and ecological intelligence: the precise control conserves resources with pinpoint accuracy, making sustainability an invisible yet highly effective element of modern interior architecture.”
The Austrian National Design Prize has been one of the country’s most prestigious design awards for more than five decades. It honors achievements that convincingly demonstrate the interplay of creativity, innovation, and economic success.
For us, this special recognition is a confirmation of our design and development approach, which aims to meaningfully connect technology and architecture.
